judging by the sheer size of that thing I'm going to say theres no way it'll sound stock, thats for sure.

sure wont, and when u accerlate and let off the gas itll start poppin due to lack of backpressure.

Most definitely. All the components of the exhaust system are there for a very, very good reason.

I agree with all of the above. If you want a more free flow style system, just replace the muffler with a high flow unit such as Magnaflow, Dynomax, or Flowmaster, etc. :m2:

Yep! You cannot just be ripping off exhaust components these days, caz everything is there for more then one purpose

know one has told me how loud it will be.....???it shouldent be that loud because the res at the back is pretty big...hell it looks like a muffler itself...i was just wondering because i want it to have the stock res at the back and just have a little more sound....im used to turbo cars and we dont run exaust so im used to loud exaust....but i need to hear the eng run and shift so i know what it is doing...

it dosent look like anyone has done this or they WOULD tell you :duh: I have read alot or posts on here about differant exaust setups that guys have tried that they like, maybe you can try one of them? without actuailly standing beside one or trying it yourself i am not sure how anyone can answer that question. i would say if you really want it off try it, i guess you can always reinstall it if it sucks. :m2:

i have done it. I welded a straight pipe in its place. It was loud, and lots of drone in the 2-3k rpm. Also when u let off the gas over 65 and let it coast whiel the speed goes down ull get a popping noise

It may burn your exhaust valves if it is popping on deaceleration

i did it as well, the result was baaaaad.....i even took the little box out before the oxygen sensor.....it sounded like one of those 1970s datsuns, and for a trailblazer it didn't suit it at all....i kept it with a straight pipe for 2 days and bought a muffler straight away, it was a flowetech turbo muffler, it was the cheapest one i could find at the time (I'm a student and couldnt afford a magnaflow).

I advise you not to do it, if you do want a louder noise, my :m2: advice would be to buy a powerflow, borla or magnaflow muffler which should give you an increased noise more then stocks...

hope this helps you in your decision
