A shop local to Decatur is having a cruise over to Charleston, IL 1/8 mile strip tonight. Should be fun. I would like to see some more TBSS's there!

Decatur? I thought that was all just farm land. j/k :D

That's a little far out of my range, though.

Hey, I'm in Decatur too! My TB isn't fast, so I won't be going to Charleston. Good luck though!

We are in the Long Creek area. I think you must have the only SS in town because I've only ever seen one driving around! Are you originally from D-town?

yea, i have lived here since middle school. i left town while i was in the Marines. after that, i was employeed by ADM and relocated to the chicago area. ive been relocated again back to my home area though! (and then bought the SS) :) ive been dragging my wife all over the place, i think she is getting  from it lol.

i actually lived in long creek for quite a few years. two homes on long creek road to be exact. my folks used to have horses and all out there.

I live just around the corner from Long Creek Rd! So then you probably graduated from MTZ, right? My husband and I both did. Him in '92 and me in '95. I wonder if we know each other? :undecided

Everybody knows that RSD and SCC are the only two drag events near IL worth going to  who races 1/8th? it's only half the fun :D In case ya'll were wondering, Gilman is about half an hour north of Champaign, it's good to see people from back home though. I miss Illinois (not the northern part though).

yes i went to MTZ. i graduated in 2000, so we have a small gap there. its possible we do know each other though. both my brothers went to MTZ too, actually my youngest brother is still in high school.

actually chunn, do you know of the shop call "the next level" ran by craig c. off of pershing? he is the one who organized this event.

you probably know my brother then. he graduated in '99.

oh yeah, i know all about the next level. he (not craig, one of his workers) tried to charge me $40-$50 to weld my new exhaust tip on. that was just for the welding, not the tip! no thanks. i went somewhere else and got the tip and welding for $50 total.

no, he didn't play anything. i played softball and got a scholarship to play at Indiana University.

I'll have to remember that shop if I ever need exhaust work done. Thanks.
