Anyone familiar with the Livernois Motorsports LS2 Stage 1 heads? They seem to be a very fair price @ $949.00 with no cores ( I think they'll give you a few hundred for your cores). Not sure if these would work well on a TBSS or not, any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated ....Chris...chime in as I am sure you are familiar with them from you GTO experience.
I was thinking that these stage 1 heads and a mild cam might be next up on the block as soon as the SW headers are available......Chris, hope you are going to be available for some dyno tuning time this summer!:D

They're nice heads, economical like the TSP-PRC 243s.
They use stock (OEM) valves (non-sodium filled) and LS6 springs so any cam used w/ them can't really go over ~560" lift. Of course, you can upgrade to Ti retainers and a good set of springs (ie, Comp 918's), but that'll of course cost extra.
My biggest hangup with them is the runner volume. Like TSP's, they're both around 230cc's (stock is 212), +/- a couple. Somewhat simplified, airflow velocity in the intake equals torque. A 300cfm head with a runner volume of 230 cc's will typically produce less torque (and HP) than a 300cfm head with runner volume of oh, say, 205 cc's (shameless AFR plug here).....because the airflow velocity in the 230cc head is less than the 205cc head. There's a boatload of other factors to consider, a lot of which I just have a smidgen of knowledge about, but enough to properly weigh and consider the various heads with some degree of confidence. Don't get me wrong - TSP and Liv are both quality product, but if you can afford to spend a bit more $$, there is other product out there that may work far better in our application....that is, where low-end torque is an absolute must to get our 4700# machines moving....
