Just curious if anyone is using the Airaid pn 800-109 on an SS. It's the air filter listed for the 4.2L and 5.3L which is supposed to be the same as ours right? I think it's a conical filter with a dry element which means no screwed up MAF's :)

So is the K&N the only one people are using? I am also interested in the aem dryflow filters. Anyone have any experience with these?

Never had either one, but would be interested in a dry filter as an option to getting a K&N.

I was debating the filter issue and decided that I would just end up purchasing a CAI, rendering the filter useless. I'm sure there are a couple people with this thought in mind. If getting the K&N was as simple as going to the store (and so far, it hasn't been) I'd have one on the truck now.

Yeah, the whole cai would be less than $200 more, but availability seems to be an issue at this point. I did see a k&n at Autozone and had to walk away.

Yeah but the filters are conical just like the ones used on the CAI's (same part # too I think). So you can either get the price of the filter discounted, buy the other pieces separately, or if worse comes to worse you could just sell it to any TB owner who wants it for $20.
