OK people. Here we go again. thought that i would start a thread about the lake since the last one ended up turning unto a Frisco'a event.
I just got off the phone with them and i got SOME info about there. Fist, its 11 bucks for vehicle fees. There is a picnic area and grills there, but they recomended to bring your own cause its on a first come, first serve basis. Tha main office was closed so i could not get much info about a reservation. But from what i could gather is that its about 120 bucks for an are that will hold about 100 people. I will call them and find out if there are smaller areas. So what will be better is to just do it like we did at Carlsbad, bring grills, tables and shades cause from what i was reading it gets to be about 95 in Aug. WHEW....THATS HOT. What we can do is try and have some of the guys north of us to come down. Or atleast the guys from Central Cali.

I'm there:woot: ....you know I'm bringing my good ole grill and I'll bring my Quik Shade canopy that I just bought too, it can supply shade for 8-12 people. Can wait for this meet, the family and I will probably be getting a hotel room up there and staying the night, so we'll be able to hang out for a while:D

Castaic Lake Update:

Since i didnt go to work today, i desided to call them again . they confirmed that we can take our shades and grills and just take over any open area. Andrew, they are dog friendly, aslong as they are on a leash and not in the beach area or in the water.

We are going to be there early cause they open for the picnic area at 6 am. so we plan to be there at around 8.

Its really easy to get there. Just take the 5 freeway north past Magic mountain. Take the Parker Rd exit number 176A and make a right turn. go for about a half mile and make a left on Ridge Route Rd. stay to your right and you will see the MAIN ENTRANCE(as in the map). Go in and make a left and you will find me there somewhere.

I know that there are some that want to caravan so maybe we can set something up, but as you all know, i wanna head out early to get a good spot.

Man, thats what i need, a vacation. I havent had one since i started working where i'm at. Cause everytime i have vacation time, i get sick or something and thats where it all goes to. :no:

ANYWAYS...... If everything goes according to plan, i'll have my new digi cam in 2 weeks and i'll take some pics of a few things that i have done to the TB. ( painted the wiper cowl white and detailed all the black on the outside). I might have a few more things before Castaic Lake. :undecided :D

Carlos the wife leaves at 4 to 5 am every morning for work. When she is getting dress the lights, noise, and perfume wake me up every morning. Then by the time she leaves I can't go back to sleep. Not good :no:

I went to Cosmic bowling last night. Had 3 shots of Petrone, 3 shots of Kamikaze, a Strawberry margarita, some other fruity drink and actually bowled ok. I was still :crazy: :crazy: :crazy: this morning when I took the pups out for a walk. When that sun hit me, whew!!!:cool:

I would like to hook up with you guys, but can't go to far, since I have my little girl with me and my other girl is at summer camp still and I have to stay close to pick her up at 2 or 3pm. I just changed shifts at work and now my off days are Wed and Thurs, what bites is that I have to work late on Fridays now and be to work early on Saturdays. I can't wait for my weekends off shift (6 months from now:rolleyes: ). I can't wait until August for the meet though:yes:

Guess whos still alive? Sorry i havent posted that much lately. Its just that its been very stressful at work the last 2 or so weeks. After having a driver laid off and the partners show up at the store, people have been on edge. Well yesterday the axe came down. One more driver gone, everyone got a huge paycut, and i got transfered to being a driver. Well i atleast have my 40 hrs but a lower payrate. So now i have to see what my finances are like cause i still have all my bills and even the TB payment. So if i dont log on that much is cause i'll be job hunting.

I'm glad you are still employed JJ. However, I don't think its legal in Cali to force someone into a different job with less pay without any sort of warning. Doesn't seem right to me, that's for sure.

SOrry about that Jay, its just that i was starting to get strested out cause of what was happening at my job. I have you, Steve and Andrew programed into my house phone but not on me. That will change next weekend. :D

StreetBlazer, all of our events are Family events cause Jay Steve and I bring out the family everytime, so we try to keep alcahol down to a minimum.

SIk, if you want to ,you can bring some carne asada. I'll be bringing out some wings and Jay, how about your famoise links. Steve and Andrew, If you guys have anything that you might want to throw on the grill then go for it. StreetBlazer, instead of all that alcahol, how about bringing things like paperplates, napkins, and such.Maybe even some sodas. Let us know so people dont double up on things.

Well guys, I am home and wanna thank everyone that came out today and made it a great time as always. Jay, Steve, Andrew, Ryan, Paul, Tammy, nice to you all again. Randal, Carlos, Brian, I wanna thank you guys for commign out to your first meet, Hopefully it wont be your last.

For everyone who missed it, you missed alot of good food and good freinds. Hopefully you guys can come out next time.

I'll post pics up tomorrow cause i'm tired like a dog. Sometime this week we will start posting the info on the next meet. It was discused that maybe we will do a mini-meet and go bowling some day and then make an END OF THE SEASON meet and go to Big Bear. All that info will be posted soon.

Randal, by any chance did you leave your daughter's chair at the park? If that was yours, then i have it here at home, I'll give it to you the next time we meet.

Tammy and I also had a great time. Great to see some new faces along with our good friends from the past. All the food was terrific too!

We sure showed those F&rd guys! LOL.

Oh yeah, for all those who test drove the SS today.. I forgot to mention that the SS was running 87 octane gas instead of the normal 91 octane. So it was a bit slower than normal. Sorry. :eek: :D

Can't wait for next time! Way to go SoCal TV's!

I want to thank all the members that came out yesterday, it was a pleasure meeting with everyone. It was nice getting together with the old friends, and meeting new friends (Ryan, Carlos, Randal & Brian) it was great to meet you guys and hope we could do this again soon. We all had a good time, and we showed those Ford guys how we put it down....I know they were a little surprised when they saw what our rides can do, especially the SS's, I know they were wondering what was under the hoods:D . Well we all had a great time, good food, good friends, and sweet rides, what more can you ask for:)

Hey SoCal peeps, just wanted to echo the same appreciation for a cool gathering by the lake....it was my first, but certainly will not be my last. I look forward to the gatherings continuing to grow. Can't beat good food, good weather, sweet rides and cool people hanging out! Too much comedy with the Ford crew...I'm still clearing my eyes from the diesel smoke!!:rolleyes:
By the way, thanks for ruining my ride back home Paul...I was running 87 octane too, but that's still no reason to make my SS feel tame off the line like that!;) I need that tune right now...how can i get in touch with them when there out here in Sept again?? Hey Brian.. I just heard back from Chris (Vector Tune). September is out, but it looks like he'll be here in SoCal in Mid-October (no dates or location yet). I plan on getting his CAI tune at that time. I'll be ordering the CAI soon, so I'll have the CAI in hand ready to install at the time he tunes the SS. To read up on the Vector tune, check out their forum here on TrailVoy.

Well I see no one has posted in a while so I thought I would. I would like to say hello to all the SoCal guys and gals. This summer has been a beautiful experience for my family and I. I really have met some really nice people and you guys have helped me spend some nice bucks. But, all in all if I had to do it again it would be a no brainer. I'm running over to see if the front swaybar replacement they got in from Eibach works in an hour. Then I'm heading over to Stickercity to have them look at my right rear light thats beginning to come off b/c of the way my tailgate opens. This way we'll only have to take care of yours on Friday. We can either drop of your Voy or just take in the lights.

Ever since joining the site, I have met alot of good and stand-up people, and we've always given each other support and encouragement in everything we do, I couldn't ask for anything more :grouphug:. We have a really good camaraderie between us, and I thank all of you for being a good friend. Hey Jay, will you be going with Drew to stickercity?, I might be ordering some of their tint for my tailights, I'm going to give them a call to make sure how much I will need to order, maybe they can give you the tint and you can bring it with you this weekend and we could do an onsite mod in my garage:D....BTW everyone, I'm having a BBQ on Labor day, it's a B-Day BBQ also for my wife and Jay's wife, Socal members are welcome to come, my Brother-in-law will be in town also, so we'll be BBQ'ing this Sunday also, but probably at Mission Beach (Ski Beach), might be renting some PWC's.

It goes the same for me guys. I have met so many kewl people here. I have made new friends and have had a blast. My wallet is a little lighter but its worth it, hands down. I will be heading on out to Steve's house on Saturday around noon time here and be arriving aroung 3pm ( i'm a slow-poke :laugh: ). I think this weekend we will be talking about doing the next get-together and see what comes out.

A new meet is in the works. Will find out Sat from another member when will be the best time to do it. I also have a great park. Its called El Dorado Park. I beleive its in the city of Long Beach. Will post more info later.
