I have had some requests to post pictures of our exhaust components for the Trailblazer SS off of the truck for your viewing pleasure. Currently all we have are pictures of the headers, cats, and y-pipe but I will make an effort to get some photos of the catback section either today or tomorrow. I will post additional photos in this thread.

Rick,
Just out of curiousity, why don't you guys flange the collectors and connection pipes? I end up doing that on every set of stainless works headers I have bought.

The slip fit design that we use on a lot of our headers ensures a no leak fit. From a manufacturing standpoint if you weld on a 3 bolt collector then the exhaust system has to me mounted in the configuration of the flange. With slip fit the system can be twisted and turned lengthened and shortened without cutting and welding. It just gives the customer versatility during install. Furthermore stainless steel 3/8" flanges increase the cost of the kit due to added material cost, laser cut time for the flange, and the welding of the flange to the header.

Thanks, I always wondered about that. You guys make a top notch product, I am always impressed when I get a new set of Stainless Works headers. I have had 3 other cars with SW longtubes thus far. Have you guys come to any conclusion on my previous PM?
