Hey Everyone!!! Glad I found this site.
I'm a new '05 Envoy Denali owner but my wife has owned a '05 TB EXT LT since Feb. I decided it was time to sell the toy (2002 Camaro Z28, heads and cam, bolt-ons, etc...) and get something a little more comfortable but I didn't want to give up the V8. I love my wife's TB so it was an easy decision to buy an Envoy Denali, especially with the current incentives and employee pricing.
Coming from the performance world (moderator on mfba.org and LS1Tech.com) I'm surprised at the lack of performance parts for the 5.3 in the TB/Envoy. Hopefully that'll change as soon as the TBSS hits the market. For now I'm enjoying the ride but the gears are already spinning in my head (LS2 swap, turbo or supercharger). Luckily my wallet will keep me grounded before I get in too much trouble with the wife.
I can't wait to see the TBSS and I almost waited for one but I personally like the interior of the Envoy better and I love the idea of a semi-sleeper with a Denali. With the 5.3 already between the fenders, an LS2 swap is a cinch.
