I just bought the 77series intake for my 04TB from Coldairintake.com and in there ordering menu they only specify 02-04 so I bought it. Well they send me one for a 02-03. I installed it not knowing that and when I was finished I had this tube that didnt have anywhere to connect to the intake. So I check CAI.com and then I check k&n and download there intalltion guide. It turns out that its different because that tube is air injection. Now the instructions that I got with the intake didnt have these steps or the two parts to take care of the air injection.
my question is who should I take this up with CAI.com or K&N and
can I go to a parts store and get a gromet and 90degree tube?

where did you purchase it from? I tried to go to coldairintake.com and it was just a bunch of links to other companies(autoanything, autopartswarehouse, etc.) An intake from an 02-03 will fit in an 04. They are all the same.

Sorry, Coldairintakedirect.com

The instruction sheet that was inside the intake box is not the same that was on the K&N website. After having looked at the K&N version I notice that it had the Air injection steps and mine didnt. Along with the two parts

I did a lot of research before I went with Volant, but I was leaning towards K&N, and from all of the reading that I have done, Everything is supposed connect up to the new intake. If you were sent the wrong one, take it up with the people you bought it from, but make sure that your invoice or online order confirmation states the right model. If they did send you the right model, then you should contact K&N and ask them what your next step should be. K&N has good a waranty, so if you are not satisfied with their product, you may be able to go that route. :m2:
