Illinois TBSS/GTO rally

Hey folks, there is a real cool event being formed. It is mainly a GTO event, but they have expressed interest in TBSS joining as well. There are already about 6 TBSS owners planning for this.

Hey guys.I would just like to invite anyone itnerested that me and a bunch of other LS1GTO.com members are planning a cruise/cookout at Starved Rock State Park on September 30 (date might change).Im pretty sure VTodd82 will be there and am hoping to see some other TBSS owners there as well.Im thinking there will be around 30+ GTO's and it would be nice to have a decent TBSS showing.If anyone has any questions PM me.The distance from the suburbs is about an hour and a half.Peoria,Bloomington,Rockford are all an hour drive.If you want to bring the family there is a indoor waterpark about a half mile away for the kids and stuff.The cruise should be very scenic since the leaves should be changing,we will be taking some curvy roads through the park and will only be going about 30 mph.We were thinking of having a local restaurant cater it but that might get expensive.Thanx.

Vtodd reading the last couple of threads and comments on the Gto forum site doesn't look like a few GTO people are welcoming us there . Looks like we may just have to form our own cruise . Last thing I want is a little punk telling me where I can and can't drive my truck.

All you TBSS owners are welcome.Im gonna be in the lead in my GTO since i think i know the route we are taking.So im thinking we will line up all the GTO's and the TBSS behind the GTO's.That way the GTO's will all be together and the TBSS's will be together.I didnt mean to cause a problem between the GTO owners and the TBSS owners.Its just that Todd is a good friend of mine and figured with his help we could get some TBSS people along for the cruise and cook out and talk about cars.Once Todd got a TBSS iv been hanging around the TBSS forums and you guys have the same interest in American muscle as us GTO guys.In my opinion (i know Todd thinks this way),the GTO next to the TBSS is a great site and i wanna get everyone together for a good day of LS1-LS2 talk.I consider you TBSS guys our big cousin thats dominating the SUV performance market.If you really look at it,both vehicles are kinda outcasts.We are too big,to bland looking, and all we have is a big engine and thats it.I just figured we could get both communitys together and maybe start something for the future.
