I had my brake pads replaced several weeks ago with Hawk pads that I purchased online. I also had my rotors replaced with the local brand that my local shop had. I don't know why, but the brakes have been squealing ever since. I just emailed Hawk Performance for any suggestions. I took my car back and had the shop take a look at them. Everything seemed to be in order so they recommended that I put some miles on them and see if it would go away. After 400 more miles (600 total since replacement) the squealing continued. Back at the shop, they reworked it by replacing all the grease on all the hardware along with putting some sort of compound on. I can't quite remember exactly what they said the compound was for but it was suppose to help. They also beveled the edges of the pads to see if this would help. They took it for a test drive and the squealing went away until they brought it back to the parking lot. I had a tee time so I had to leave at that point and the squeeling for the most part seemed to go away for about 20 miles of driving. Now it's back and is just as bad as before. The only thing that I can think could have caused this problem is when I performed the burnishing period after installation. If any one has any suggestion on what the shop can do to try and fix the pads then please let me know. I'm afraid at this point that I might just have to replace the pads again but I really would hope that something else can be done. Thanks for any help, Carlos
