Hello Everyone..

As you can all see this is my first post. I am thrilled to find a community of fellow Trailblazer/Envoy owners. I have owned my Trailblazer LTZ I6 since August of 2002 when it was new. Now to the issue at hand.

At about 75K miles, the transmission went out. It started making all kinds of noise in reverse and when after shifting into 2nd gear. It was rebuilt by a reputable shop and everything has been fine since then until this morning.

I now have just over 100K miles on it and after putting it into reverse this morning I heard those same noises from the transmission once again. I put it in Drive and drove about 200 feet and upon shifting into 2nd it started making the those same noises. The noise is similar to a playing car stuck in the spokes of a bicycle.

I looked online and found some used low milage transmissions in my area. My question is whether a transmission from an 05 Trailblazer will work in my 02.

Thanks for the help in advance.

it shoudl fit as long as its for the same model.
i.e. 4wd........w/ 4.2........

then when you get it.....drain it.......refill it and drain it again............they install it and fill it.

because you dont know how long it was sitting in the yard.

Good advice, either do that or take it somewhere and have them flush it with a T-tech machine and then change the filter.

I am more concerned about electronics that might be different between an 02 and 05. Anyone aware of any differences there?
