How are you people launching off the line????
I went to my first midnight drags at Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City.
We are about 4200 feet above sea level.
RT .670 15.675 @ 89.61 MPH
RT .525 15.705 @ 89.72 MPH

I believe goat said that he tried to dyno the RWD TBSS with stabilitrac and traction control still on and it only dynoed at 154hp due to the pulsating brakes. It kept pulsating at 42mph. When I first bought my TBSS, I tried launching it and felt the TC kick in quick and mine is an AWD.

Stabilitrak and TC off.
Power brake launch.
I turned off the TC and the ST
First round I did not power brake and the 2nd I did and went slower.
both runs I went in automatic.
Do you guys shift or run automatic?
Was trying to get a base line before I do any mods, just thought this vehicle would be a little faster.

HOw many miles do you have? Because of your altitude, you may need to drive it a bit and allow the ECM to adjust. It should start running better with milage and adjustment.

Thought about it, but decided not to try it.
Get it fixed under warranty. If you have a good story, there is nothing they can do.

I have no idea why your times are slow other than you are 4200ft above sea level and what octane options do you have and what were you running at the track?
Also, are you AWD or 2WD? That makes a big difference.

What did the rest of your data look like, 60 foot, 660, 1/8 mi. What was the weather like, DA? Did you get into the water and spin a lot? How much gas? Spare + jack on board? Tire pressure? Those are pretty slow times for your SS but there is probably a very good reason for it that we can figure out. I ran quickest with an 1800 rpm launch in Drive. I thought about going into 3 for the run but I haven't heard of anyone else doing it and I don't want to break anything :D

putting it in 3rd will increase line pressure, (causing firmer, faster shifts) and MAYBE drop some time off your E/T. nothing major, maybe .1 or so. shouldn't break anything doing that. how i race mine :)

I went to the track yesterday, I got the best results by lanuching in 2nd gear. I was able to brake torque the truck up higher and dropped my 60s from 2.2s to 2.1s. I was however a very HOT day at the track. 95 degrees
