So I would love to put a set of Brembo brakes and rotors  on my TB, and I am sure a lot of us on this site would too. :D But like many of us, that is just not affordable. :( Anyone know of any company that makes a good set that is less than $1000.00? Now that I have the Wester's Tune I am realizing that I need more braking power. Right now I just have slotted and drilled rotors. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

Question. I put a set of 20's on my Envoy and my brakes started squeeking. For a min i thought i needed to change my pads which i did. But the technician said I have enough pad to last another year but he changed it anyways. Now my back wheel is squeeking. Do I need to upgrade my Rotos and pads. If so to what size? What are the best recommended buys?

One thought here....some of the TB SS owners will be upgrading their brakes to the larger ones when they become available. Someone will be selling their OEM rotors and calipers, might be worth looking into.

What is the difference in OEM SS to the non-SS rotor/cal.?

Waiting for the SS OEM rotors is not a bad idea. I would imagine that they would be a bit bigger and better than the regular TB rotors and calipers. Any SS guy want to sell me their set? :D

Really?!?! TB's are setup in stock form to stop their own weight + 3500lbs+ of trailer! IMO- these trucks have great OEM brakes.

I agree, I have 61K on OE brakes and the only thing I would maybe want is slotted rotors but not a big concern. The rears are larger for loads and I have never had a problem with hard stops...........Brembo's are shuweeet though:)

Don't get me wrong, it stops, and having put on the slotted and cross drilled rotors gave me more stopping power, but when you have 20" wheels (thinking of going to 22") a tune, etc. you would like all the braking power you can get. Or maybe I just need to stop stomping on the gas pedal so much....

The XUV has larger front rotors. You could order the abuttment brackets and rotors for those and use your stock calipers. I'm not sure what size the tbss is, but I'm guessing they are the same as the XUV, since none of the TBSS literature stresses bigger brakes as part of the package.
