In order to get into 4x4Lo, you need to be completely stopped and have the tranny in neutral. Keep in mind that 4x4Lo should ONLY be used under extremely low traction conditions or damage to the transfer case could result. - Basically on sand, deep snow, ice or off-roading over broken ground....basically off road. Also keep in mind that 4x4Hi shouldn't be used on dry pavement and is also intended for low traction conditions.

I have the best luck getting into 4LO by letting my truck roll slowly while in neutral ( <1-2mph) versus sitting totally still. ylab's exactly right about the other stuff though.

ill just copy and paste my blog from myspace.... ill upload some pictures later tonight when my gf goes home if you guys wanna see

Okay guys so Fourth of July night started off like any others, I was out with some friends and went to see the fireworks. Anyways the fireworks ended and I went back to my girlfriends house. At about 115 in the morning I deided I was going to go home, nothing out of the ordinary However the whole night she had a bad feeling about me driving! Anyways so I am on my way home on these back country roads and made it to Watkins road, like a dumbass I was hauling ass probably going 80 85 anyways as I get to the bottom of a hill I lose control and black out. I wake up about 35 minutes later being yelled at by ems. I see my windshield being broke into, and look up and see the bottom of a bridge and feel water at my feet. I was in a creek bed. I had apparently lost control rolled my car and fell 20 foot off a bridge. Luckily my car fell backswards and I survived, if you know me you know I rarely put my seatbelt on, yet this night I had put it on I guess someone was watching out for me that night I owethe person who called EMS my life he is the person that saved me if not for him I would have died in that creek bed from blood loss, anyways ems rushed me to the hospital where I had my family scared to death To make a long story short, I have a broken neck, 4 broke vertebraes, broken shoulder, 2 broke ribs, and I had surgery on my right arm, I would like to thank everyone that has visited in the hospital and has taken care of me, and I would like all my friends to slow down and at least wear a seatbelt you all know I drive like a maniac, but I think after that night somebody has a higher purpose in life because I was not supposed to be able to walk away from a crash this rough, anyways I would like to thank everyone for there prayers and concerns and if I am not around for the next couple weeks its because I am recovering thanks everyone for taking time to read this I posted some pictures in my picture page!

oh yeah guys i had not been drinking or smoking that night, i was completely sober i was just being stupid so please dont act like me when you get on the road i dont want any of you to have to go through this!

EDIT FOR TRAILVOY:i found out i broke the same vertebraes as christopher reeves, and i am currently in physical therapy learning how to use my right arm again! but i should be driving by the middle of august as soon as i get out of the neck brace

Check out the recalls in the resources section. The 02 had some engine problems as I recall. I think Chevy takes care of them though. Trailblazers also are EXTREMELY sensative about there electronics. Everything is computer controlled, and I mean everything. They have notoriously bad ignition switches. Get rid of all the extra stuff on your key ring. They have a few suspension problems, but nothing major. Over all....you got a good truck. The I6 engine is one of the best. If ya treat it right it will give great performance (for an SUV) and still not be totally bad on gas. Good luck with it! OH....they also have a crappy fan clutch.....its computer controlled.....you will know if yours fails. ;) You might want to visit a chevy dealership and find out what warranty work was done.

Yeah i was planning on taking it to my mechanic tommorow and getting All Terrain tires put on the front, cause they have radials while the back has fairly new ATS, and i guess i should take it up to chevy which is literally quarter mile down the road, thanks for the help guys!

Whoa! Hold the phone! You need to have all 4 tires exactly the same on any 4x4 or AWD vehicle. Even slight variations in circumference will bind the transfercase, half-shafts, diffs, etc..

G/luck

yeah i know thats why i want new ones, the back tires look like they cant have but more than 5,000 miles on them, but your saying i should get all four new ones, or i should just get the two in the front asap?

Make sure they are the same size and type. Even tires of the same size by different mfgrs. can vary in circumference. Most of the specs show how many revolutions per mile on a tire. A BFG and a Goodyear of the same size might have diferent revs per mile. This would be a problem as wheel sensors would be getting different readings from front to back. The computers have enough problems without sending mixed signals.
