Has anyone here seen the TRUCKS show? Did you see the one where he put the two exhaust system on the copperhead project...He could flip a switch and the exhaust would go from stock to open headers?? Anyone think this is possible on a TBSS?:undecided

What are the anticipated gains from the cut-outs on our cars? I was under the impression that it would be less than 10, can't remember where I read. I do know it was speculation, but the only number I have found to date. Will it work WITH or AGAINST our tunes?

Andy, chime in?

Thanks!!

I posted this a while back on another section. Here is the link and it provides another brand for comparison. The prices look the same for 1 unit and this one is cheaper for 2.

I'm not trying to hijack, but would a cutout work on a 4.2L as well or will it relieve too much of the backpressure?

I know for sure, using a dyno that with SW headers and exhaust to open headers the differance is 6 hp. This is with their standard muffler. the LMF differance is only 3 hp. Using Vectors custom tune for the SW exhaust system there wasn't any adverse condition to the tune opening up the headers.

On a stock TBSS you will lose low end power with cut outs. You will gain a tiny bit up top.

Now throw in heads/ headers and a CAM and you have a different story.
