I've been trying to track my MPG and I'm supposed to have a 22 Gallon tank but letting it run slightly below the empty mark and topping off completely I can only get 19 Gallons in. I realize the 22 gallons is an approximation but could it be off 3 gallons or is it a reserve?

i would say your 3 gallons is the reserve. Do you have the DIC? If you watch the range, it'll probably get down to about 40 miles left before the gas light comes on and changes to range: Low.

Yep, the most I can pack into my 2005 LS is 19gal. Use the gallons you pump into the tank for your avg MPG calc not the factory tank capacity spec.

i get down to 30-35 more miles on my dic before my light comes on
