anyone ever used a oil filter called the ultra filter. it's a reusable oil filter. it's made out of billit aluminum and has a stainless steel filter that's washable. it will filter down to 32 microns of dirt. cost about 100.00.

Not to sure if i would us ethis on my engine. The claim on their website about the bypass valve is bs, that valve is there in the case that someone not changinbg the filter and it clogs to a point that it presents a huge pressure drop in the oil system, as a consequence the engine oil pessure after the filter would be to low and the engine might be damaged. To avoid this the bypass will open and assure thatthere is some oil pressure after filter.
Tehir claim could also be interpreted in thge sense that since their filter has less pressure drop (larger mech size) it lets bigger particles travel through oil sytem which eventually leads to higher wear in engine.
Also thsi washing solution if not dried properly might get into the new oil and degrade it.
After looking at all this i would not experiment with this type of parts on my engine, unless backed up by some real solid evedince in form of longterm testing data.
In God we trust all the rest show dara.
