Hey Guys,
I am looking at replacing my tires, and wanting to go a little wider 265/70/16 the Overall Diameter on the stock tires (new) is 29.5 and the 265/70/16 are 30.4. Overall the new ones would be 0.9" bigger. I know it will knock my Speedo and Odo out, but by how much???

ah...
1. width does not change speed.
2. I know you said diameter, however the tire size is the same. 265 is 265

Not true, the R Rating is actually and acpect ration of the width. So the wider your tire, the taller your tire.
Thanks for the link.

Ok, So I have been doing some reading the tires I am thinking buying are in the us Kelly Safari Signature, and in Canada they are sold By Canadian Tire under the Total Terrain Name.
Has anyone ever used Kelly tires, or the Safari Signature Tires?? And if so are they any good??
Russ
I owned Kelly tires a long time ago on an 88 Mustang. They were decent tires. I think they were or maybe still are part of Goodyear.

i had a set of kelly's on my 2002 silverado, overall i had no complaints.they handled great in the snow and overall wear was decent to.
A little info. Compare Walmart prices for Michelins. Tire dealers price was $121 and I bought the same Michelin at Walmart for $89.

Actually what I am looking at now are Nokian's. They are a Finnish Brand of Tires.

They Carry a 100,000km Warranty.
