I was at my local Chevy dealership here in NYC. They told me that they are ordering 2006's but don't have any info on the SS yet. Seems wierd to me, maybe they don't even know its an option package. I need to go back now that I've found the KBB pricing.

Does anyone know the MPG on the SS?? And does it require the higher octane? Chevy still hasn't released all the specs yet. :undecided

Thanks - PROUD NEW MEMBER!!! :D

I actualy went to my local dealer today to check on the TB SS. They already have the HHR on the lot. I asked the guy if he had any info on the 06'SS. He told me they are going to come out after the monte carlo and the malibu in 06'. Everywhere i look they say it will be out in the fall of o5'. Why bring out the malibu SS first? :worried:

I posted some info late in this thread (http://forums.trailvoy.com/showthread.php?t=990), but it's buried a couple pages in. Here's what I know:

-RPO code B4U = TrailBlazer SS Package
-Option available to order June 28
-Pricing on KBB appears to be accurate

I ordered mine on June 28, and as of today have a Target Production week of August 23. Fuel economy won't be very good with the 4.10 axle, expect something in the teens, low teens if you can't keep your foot out of it... :x

Well, they still no bupkus about ordering the SS. :duh:

I told the sales manager that the pricing was on the web and he told me that you can't rely on the web. When I told him that someone already ordered one he didn't have an answer.

He told me that he would contact GM and let me know later today.

Just wanted to give you an update.

It's possible that because of my particular situation I'm able to order, but the dealers are not. That said, in the other thread a guy from Canada says his order is in as well. Not sure what to tell you.

To your other question - the TBSS is a "Premium Fuel Recommended" vehicle.

The thing I am most suprised about is that there is not more information available about the SS. I mean really, there is basically the same info available that was out 3 months ago, and they are supposed to begin production this month? I would think GM would by hyping the daylights out of the SS line, but in reality they really haven't done much with it. I think the Motor Trend article 3 months ago was the biggest article I have seen. I am ready for some hard numbers like 0-60, MPG, slalom, 1/4 mile, and of course OFFICIAL Chevy pricing i.e. Design your own on their website. CHEVY, YOU'RE KILLIN ME HERE!
