would it be cheaper to sell or trade your TB for one with a V8? that may even be newer?

Cheaper, easier, less of a headache, and have a much nicer TB than one with a hacked up install.

Um... why get a 5.3 V8 when you can get a 6.0 V8 SS? :D

Seems i have a blown engine... so i do have to replace it..
the 5.3 would be fun, the 6.0 would be great. Buuuuuuuuuuuut
limited canadian budget tells me 4.2.....
Cant change the truck with a busted engine can i..
and with the price of gaz at 1.22 $ / liter. Thats 4.62$(can) / gallon four our freinds to the south. Or 3.85 us /gallon..

Are we bring scr..d here or what?

I think the preces here in canada are outrageous!! We're getting ripped off  Just swap it w. another 4.2 and save yourself a headache for when you fill up :rotfl:

The 4.2 does the job, had a 3500 pound trailer tent did 2400 k in the mountains, passed explorers, Jeep's etc. with smaller loads. Nooooo problem.. the only reason the engine is scrap is due to the fact (it seems) it ha a little issue with oil not going to the head, witch is weird cauz i had no light come on and oil pressure was good.
Now theres a nice mixture of oil and aluminum in my engine.
NOT A GOOD COMBINATION.

At least i found a reconditionned engine for 1500$ with 20000k on it.

Do a 4.2 with a turbo. That would be waayy more fun than a V8. There was a guy here in Omaha that had Turbo Envoy and I drove next to him one time and wow did that thing sound awesome!
