well i was going to order the 77 k&n intake and was looking at the instructions
online and my stock intake has a big hose on the bottom of the hose part of the intake....a little bigger than a waterhose size....the 77 intake has 2 little hoses right by the throttle body.....and no place for the big hose in the bottom of the intake....do you just cap this hose or what??? i really want to order this tonight....does anyone have this on a 05 yet????and if so any prob...thanks

The bigger hose is the air injection hose. If you look on K&N's site there are installation instructions for that kit. They show that you have to drill a hole in the intake and put a grommet in it, and use a 90 degree elbow to connect the hose.

Not only that, but you also have to cut the hose. Don't know if it's possible to go back to stock if you have to without buying a new hose.

are there any more intakes that remove the silencer???that will use the idel air motor hose??/i dont want the silincer on there with the intake...?

You should be able to splice the hose back together using a straight fitting. You just have to leave enough hose on the end you cut off.

On a side note, I'm a NY Skins fan too. Hopefully they do a little better this season.

Was reading a thread over on fsc.com and a guy had one. He said the chrome tube got hotter than 'ell after operating for a while, and there went any "cool air" . :undecided
