Well I've been posting for over a week now. I guess I should introduce myself. I hope to become a full fledged member of the group. I fell in love w/ the Trailblazer SS and I'm hoping to get my hands on one, if my dealership cooperates.

I spoke to the sales manager the other day and he thinks he's going to get over sticker on the SS and doesn't want to honor my GMSD (Supplier Discount). I've been going for the last few weeks to this dealership to get ordering info. This is the first time I spoke to the sales manager. Every other time, they told me they didn't know anything.

So I'm looking at other dealerships and options, and I told the sales manager, "I'd hate to buy the car somewhere else, only to have you guys work on it!!" So we'll see what happens. :raspberry

GREAT SITE!!

Welcome to the site!

By the way, the salesmanager is wrong. Yeah, he might get some sucker to pay above MSRP on a SS. The SS is a $5100 option above the 6 cyl. You should be able to get a fully loaded SS for around $41k if you can't wait a few months. Then I would say it'll drop into the $30s. As much as I love the SS, something that gets around 12/16 EPA MPG won't sell too quick in the mid-40 price range. (I based gas mileage figure on similiar powertrain in the Silverado SS)

Welcome again!

Welcome to the forum.

Dave has it right. They might find someone to pay MSRP, just don't let it be you. ;)

When the fullsize Chevy truck SS came out in 2003, some dealers were trying to get MSRP or more. Within a few months the price fell like a rock.

There is more than one dealer out there. Take your time and shop around. Sales people like to control their customers. Do some research on what an SS TB with the options you want MSRP's for and what it costs the dealer. If your local dealer won't honor supplier price, another dealer will. Best situation is to buy with no trade in, as sometimes the dealer will give you supplier or employee price, and cut you to the bone on the value of your trade in. Good luck.
