I have a 2004 Trailblazer and I get this weird pop noise when I hit a bump or sharp dip in the road. I can't tell where it's coming from but it sounds like the back. It sounds a lot like when you pop in the side of an empty pop can. Has anyone heard anything like this with theirs?

Are they on top of the springs or where the springs are hitting?

no they're talking about the sway bar bushings and endlinks. a common culprit for suspension noise in these trucks. when the springs rebound it'll make a bang sound because the endlinks are loose as a noodle.

Is that something that I can fix? I have a full shop at my disposal but I don't know enough about cars to be able to go at it without knowing where to look.

Actually, It is a fairly easy repair.... you just need a couple of 18mm wrenches and a 6mm allen to get the old ones off.... a wratchet attaced
to the allen may help as well. Everyone says to replace the factory
GM parts with "MOOG" sway links, because the factory ones don't have
grease fittings, and give out way too early! The moog parts can be
found at most online parts sites, and prolly your local auto parts store
as well.
you will need:
1 MOOG K6665 SWAY BAR LINK KIT 1 Front Right
2 MOOG K6666 SWAY BAR LINK KIT 1 Front Left
3 MOOG K6667 SWAY BAR LINK KIT 1 Rear Right
4 MOOG K6668 SWAY BAR LINK KIT 1 Rear Left
That is for front and rear... should cost about 90 to $100
and also a good grease gun to pack them when you are done
