Noise

Well, this is bizarre. I was pulling into a parking spot yesterday and had to crank the steering wheel all the to the left. There was a strange noise...a grind/pop if that makes any sense. Anyone had this happen? I have already replaced the front swaybar links...

Did it sound like a squeal? It might have just been the a power-steering pump glitch.

I guess it might have sounded like a squeal. Any thoughts on "fixing" this?

I don't think there's anything to fix. It only happens on a blue moon.

I don't know if this pertains to all TB's but I just had the fluid flushed from my rear axle on my SS because apparently the rear differential was grinding whenever I turned. This was how the dealer explained it to me anyway. They flushed the fluid, put in new fluid, and also added some type of additive which prevents the "grinding" to come back. If this doesn't work, they need to replace the entire differential box? I only have 4K on my TB.

Ha! So I've been having a "grind/pop" noise in my steering column too. It happens when I turn the wheel all the way to the left, and then back. I'd almost sounds like a spring, or gravel. Anyone have new ideas?

I get it sometimes too. Mainly when I am pulling in drive way without the curb cut.

Happend very rarely I don't worry about it. I know someone here made the dealer replace the whole stearing rack.
