i started having some problems with the TB's trans back on friday, so i took it in to a local transmission shop, they dropped the pan and found that i had broken BANDS. so they further disassembled to discover a never ending list of this that were also got damaged. long story short... going to need a complete overhaul. so i looked up Raptor 4L60E Trans and talked with the shop about upgrades. i figured might as well make it stronger while its already taken apart. final cost: $2600:eek:   suppost to be getting it back tomarrow or day after.

I hope it's a beefed up, modified 4L60E. Regular refirbed 4L60E's can be had for less than a grand.

GOT MY TRAILBLAZER BACK TODAY!!!!

OH **** this thing is fast. i think it was the single best upgrade i have done so far. it is a MAJOR difference. shift from 1-2 is rock hard feel like i'm going to lose control!!! 2nd gear makes the vehicle FLY!! shhift from 2-3 feels like i'm going to die, it kicks me back in the seat ( feels like the SS does!) and after that its just breath taking.

I ran it against a camaro z28 and a new crysler 300 HEMI which was really close run, but took them both.

A custom setup by you or an already available "package"?

Weren't you saying at the meet last week that you also had to fix something else b/c of racing? I thought it was the trans..

It was, he had to get a new one as his stock one essentially cannoned from the inside. A Raptor buil 4L60E trans with tons of beefier internals= more power handling and much better shifts.

Would you mind giving us a list of part names and or manufacturer? I'm thinking of rebuilding mine cause of a possible future turbo project.

Any help would be appreciated.
