Not sure, those are nice size. Maybe rub inside wall?

i dont think they would rub at all, but i wouldn't put them on our narrow wheels. you could get them to fit on the wheel, but not safely IMO. tires that wide will bulge at the sidewalls on our stock 8.5" wheels.

I think the OEM TB SS wheels are only 8" :undecided

if so, that would make it even more difficult/effective.

Those are the tires I will be going with once my rear two are gone. Definitely have to get the rims widened though. Stockers are 8", and you'd probably want to go to a 10-10.5" rim for that tire size. If you don't want to widen the rims, I think the most you could squeeze onto a stocker without causing any negative effects would be a 265.

Thought NorcalSS looked into wider rims, and found they would rub. He is lowered though.

on the stock wheels? Yes tony, im about 90%. Its going to be close regardless, but with the sidewall bulge and rollover during cornering....yes it will rub It'll look sick, but you'd need to get a more appropriate fit on the wheel first

Yep, it says on the specs link you need a minimum of a 10" wheel. Will the 11.6" tread section fit on the truck though? I think it would be really close but possible.

With running a wider wheel/rim combo, I think custom billet spacers are going to also be required. And yes, I think the reason Norcal's wasn't going to fit is because his truck is slammed. My tires are going down pretty quick in the rear, probably won't be long before I become the guinea pig. I am having traction troubles right now (on the street anyways) and looks like this will be a good mod for 60ft times once I make it to the track.
The stockers are 255 and these are 295 so that is 40mm wider.
That is about 1-5/8"
Yes it will be close. And it also depends on the "real" width of the tire.

285/45YR20 ends up being .75mm taller.. erm, I don't even like those yokos. Good find on the wider OEs Tony. You think the "sport tire" market will respond to the change in tire-diameter on todays sports cars (Z06, Ford GT, etc)? I want Nitto 555Rs.. or at least the 555R IIs. Or at least a BFG KD!! :( Anything but this compromising crop of all seasons... What do the porsche suv's use? I think the best offering in our size is from Michelin... the performance BMW suv wears those in the 315 size!!

I ran these on my lowered (ground force 1.3/3) 05 with SS wheels and they fit no problem. If your upgrading your tires stay away from the goodyears IMO.

yeah, I just would like to keep the same brand & tread pattern to avoid any strange vibrations due to mismatching tires (something I did when I was dirt poor and 17)... I know we have to be able to fit 275's but 295's would be NICE!!

That would look- what do they say -sick.. I'm an old fart, I've ran retreads and bulk oil. Thankfully thats been about 25+ yrs.
Seriously, I just put 285-60-16s on the back of my 04 2wd LS- 11.5 inches wide on the stock rims. A little much but it rides and handles great.Exact same height as my 245-70 stockers.

But what do you pay for a gallon of gas?:p
It pays to have a neighbor manage a local Goodyear Gemini :D
