 Never did this before, didnt realize the shape of the curb. Now I got a small cut in the sidewall and the tire is almost flat. I dont think good year would help me out on this, would they?? some sort of discount? I called Kauffman tire and they stated the tire is on national backorder. Freaking tire has only 6000 miles on it.

Tire Rack has them in stock as of when I posted this. It was $149 each but is by far the cheapest tire they had for the SS' size. It looks like it will cost around $1000 to replace the SS' tires with good ones and I know the RSA doesn't last too long.

Just be thankful you didn't scratch your rim in the process! BTW, sorry to hear about the tire.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Good year , dealer and Kauffman tires said the tire is on national backorder. The tire is 1/2 way down even after 6 hours, thats how small the hole is. Shame I cant patch it? Going to look around this week for a tire while I am driving on the ugly spare.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to patch it since the cut is on the sidewall. I had no idea that the tires for the SS for that expensive

Sorry to hear your situation. but look on the bright side, all you have to get is a tire instead of both "rim and tire". Something will turn out for you, I got faith

My brother works at Butler Tire. Let me know the Model and size and I'll see if he has any in stock and see what he can do for you. He is in Marietta.

Didn't your car come with a spare> You know that round black thing under the vehicle in the back.:p

Avoid Kauffman at all costs. They backed one of my buddy's minivan into a semi, they damaged another friend's F250 wheel and they gouged and marred the heck out of one of my old Silverado wheels. Find a good wheel shop and have them order and mount your tire. I know a really good place in Peachtree City but it's 40 miles away from you.

From one Buick owner to another, I feel your pain. Had a screw go through mine at 2000 mi. Was close to sidewall, but they plugged it anyway.

sorry to hear that, but you did not hit the rim the tire is easier to replace. I hita curb with my 22's last summer i was only goin 1-2mph and the curbs were granite and i hit where the two pieces meet and ruined the tire and F'ed up the rim $850 GONE!!!

why not order it from the tirerack.com like Dave said, you'll have it in a couple days, cheaper?http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?startIndex=0&width=255%2F&ratio=50&diameter=20&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&x=15&y=10

Thanks for the replay guys. I have the spare on now, the alignment is whacked but not sure if it becuase of the spare. The SS looks funky with the spare on and is it that thing heavy! I am going to see what my options are with this tire, worse comes to worse I will order one from tirerack if they have it in stock.

thanks

Your PM is Full, So I sent you an email..

His work varies, he is Helping out with Delivering tires this week. He can order the tire today, He has 2 available at the Warehouse, which is where he is going now. If you need to I can have him order it and you can call him at Butler and see when you can come in.
