I have been driving my 02 Voy the last two days in 2hi and noticed a sudden jerk of A4wd engaging even though I have not moved the switch from 2hi position. It doesnt stay in A4wd, the light goes back and forth from 2hi to A4wd but goes back to 2hi. Any suggestions on what it could be???

No, the actual dash switch is prone to going bad. Costs about 30 buck online, but you should make sure its the switch and not a transfer case encoder motor ($400+).

Is there also a vacuum type of switch on the transfer case as well or just the dash switch?

Also, does anyone know where to look for one other than my local stealership and how to get it installed?

this just happened to me as well today, from 2hi to 4lo, now it wont switch back. I had my transfer case replace last yr by the dealer now I have to go back and raise hell....
