I just bought a new Envoy and some 20" wheels for it. I am looking for tires and seem to get the answer that 275/45/20 is what fits but I want wider. I would like 295 or 305. Has anyone put anything bigger than 275/45/20? The wheels are 20 X 9 with a +40 offset if that helps. Thanks

If you go to a wider tire you will get a LOT of road stuff thrown down the side of your new Envoy. Also, the tire will extend past the wheel opening. Is that the look you want? 295 and 305 are for full size trucks and SUVs. I believe you will get a good amount of rubbing with either size, but since I haven't personally had them, I can't be sure.

I can not decide if i want a street tire that is tucked in or if i want a more offroad tire that does stick out some. I am no stranger to large tires sticking out, I have 35's on a 4Runner already. I am just checking all options before i buy something.
