I foudn 16x8 wheels in our bolt pattern for $100 each new. I was thinking about a 28 inch tall MT that puts some significant tire on the ground. Think they will fit?

Where did you find the wheels? Who is the manufacturer? Please give some specs.
Thanks,
Chad

The spare that came on my TBSS was a 16" wheel. The tire size is 245/75/16

Your the only person I know with a 16" spare, is your dads 16" also? Test fit tomorrow.
Might be that just the alloy 16s don't clear the brakes, the spare is usually stamped steel and a lot thinner than the aluminum/alloy rims. - Just a thought.

Im suprised you have a 16", I was under the impression all SSs had a 17" steely as a spare because a 16" couldnt fit over the massive front calipers.

Factory may have given you the wrong size spare. Stranger things have happened during production.

Double-check that. Its possible you just transposed the numbers in your mind when you hunched down underneath the truck to check the size.
The size of the spare is 245/65-17.
And no, TB 16" wheels won't fit.

 That's correct. I just cheched mine since it's in the garage (I took it out after fixing a flat and never put it back in).
