Gear ratio ?

Hello all.
I just bought a 05 Trailblazer today (used) and would like to know what is the best way or easiest way to find out what the gear ratio for the rear end is. I have been told there are three possible gear ratios. I did some looking around for this information on the site but didn't find any(probably overlooked it).

Any help would be great.

Look inside your glove compartment. There should be a sticker with codes on it.

If you see the code:


GU6 you have 3.42 gears

GT4 you have 3.73 gears

GT5 you have 4.10 gears

It is probably 3.42 since that is what a majority of them come with. While you are looking for that code, look for G80. That will tell you if your rear dif is locking or not.
