Ok, I may not be the sharpest tool in the drawer, but I ain't stupid either. I want to put a couple of courtesy lights on the driver's and passenger's side of my TBSS. I opened the door today and discovered there is not a switch that controls the interior lights...WTF is it??? Normally you could just trace the wires from the switch and hook up to them to add courtesy lights. I swear every time I buy a new vehicle, you can't work on the damn thing.

Can anyone give me a courtesy lighting lesson 101 in getting these hooked up to operate when the doors are opened? Thanks in advance for your replies.

the dome light switch is part of the lock assembley inside of the door.

I would use a relay wired to the dash light, under the steering wheel :m2:

but if you want to, there is a wire in each door that sinks to ground when the door is opened. check out the wiring diagrams in the resource section for wire colors.

Thanks guys for your reply. I'll look for the wires in the door and see what I can do.

Thanks again
