View Full Version : MY 07 TBSS vs VW Golf GTI

Well, Guys Last night coming back from my girlfriends house. I was at a traffic light when this Golf GTI pulled up along side me. I really was'nt planning on anything but I thought this might be a good judge as to what this thing my TBSS could do.;) So I brought the rpms up a bit and the light turned green and the damn GTI jumped out on me! :eek: By the 1-2 shift I 'd say he was out maybe 2 lengths, but by the top of 2nd I was coming hard. And by the 2-3 shift I was even with him and we stayed close til we both backed off for the next light. I turned left and he went straight. So with that being said It just comfirmed to me that I am definitely justified in my appointment next thursday with Mike at Vengence to get Headers , Cat back ,CAI, UD pulleys, Thermostat,and Tune.! I was second guessing myself in spending the money to have all this done , But now I'm not! Mike here I come! :yes:
Let's get this straight. He jumped and you caught him and stayed with him...He had a plan and you met it. If you would've been in the plan at the start you would have beat him all the way!!!

Well every dog has his day and let the GTI take that one. After next Friday it will never happen again.:yes: Atleast from that GTI. Don't worry man your parts are ready and from what it sound like you are too. Nothing like taking a loss to justify your mods:D

OK, Gotta clarify something here!!!! I would have smoked him in the 1/4 but these TBSS's are not one to really leave hard with the TM . But I chased him down and would have taken him no problem! But I want there to never be a question as to who would win! Its balls out for me! As long as the wallet will hold it!:D

how does a 200hp gti keep up with a 400hp TBSS?
I'm hoping it is their new R32 model instead of a 4 banger 1.8T giving you issues.

has to be the R32 because the otherone is weak sauce. Or your TBSS has some issues.

I got that years ago in the jet ski world. We are always talking who has the fastest ski :)
