I recently emailed all the major tires suppliers who currentyl have a drag radial in their product line-up to ask if they have anything in the wworks for a 20" drag radial. This is the response back so far:
BFG:
Unfortunately, we do not have any plans in the near future to make the Drag Radial in a 20 inch.
Nitto:
Currently we are developing a 20" drag radial. As for when it
will be released to the public has yet to be determined.
I will post up the other responses as I get them back. A 20" drag radial would be sweeeeeet:yes:

They don't make them due to weight...
Get a 16 or 17 inch wheels since you also need some sidewall flex...

yeah i'm not following why 20" drag radials would be preferable over smaller ones?

For people that want to run them all the time? For me, I would take a shorter tire with more sidewall height.

Cause I'll run them full time street & strip other than winter time. I don't like the look of having some let's face it, less than stylish (OK, they're just plain ugly) 16"/17" rims when I need traction be it at the track or on the street;)
I know you can get a bigger sidewall with a 16"/17" rim/tire combo, and yes the flex will help with traction, but I'm on the street 99.9% of the time and I am not looking to be able to rip off 1.5 60fts, just want something considerably better than the stock tire for traction.

I have a set of Nitto's NT555R's that will go on mine when i decide on the wheels I like. Since the good wheels usually come in 18"- 20" & 22" I will do what I did on my Hemi truck. Buy 20" custom wheels like Boss-026 for the street & 18" for the rear with 305-45-18" NT555R's. They are a 10,000 mile drag radial so work at the track & street. My 18" Nitto's are still in good shape after
a lot of drag strip burn-out's & nitrous run's plus a few road mile's. The nice theng is they have the same look as the 20" and look good at the track with a 28.75" dia. against a 30" factory tire.
If you go with 20" Hankook's 275-45-20" for street tires on the new wheels you have a neat tread
and a speed rated 146 mph tire. Price for 4 Hankooks from Good Guy's in SF Cal. $450.00 so you can sell the factory tires & rim's and the change is pretty cheap. The Hankooks are great street tires & are about a 29.5" dia. This keeps the tires so close you don't have to change the computer
everytime you run DR's. Did I mention how good the Nitto's hook up when heated. Great tire for nitrous run's that hooked with my 500 HP rear wheel nitrous Hemi. So 18" NT555R's will be on my SSTB soon. I hate the small dorkie donut MT's 25" dia. The Boss-026 also can be had with black
insides Chrome outer rings or all chrome. I changed mine at home & drove to the track on the and they handle well on wet or dry pavement. LOL
