Hello all, I have an 05 Envoy and the other day when it rained I noticed a couple of drips of water coming from somewhere near the top left area around the windsheild. I never could see where it came from and the headliner was not wet. Well I never figured that out but the next day when I got to work I pulled the floor mats out to sweep the carpet and under the drivers side mat the carpet was soaking wet. I could not tell where it came in from and have not got a chance to go back to the dealer yet but I just wanted to see if any of you have had this problem? The Envoy only has 2,000 miles on it so I hope this is not just the start of a bad relationship with GMC. Thanks

Below is the TSB for the wet carpet. Also, there is a recall for the windshield on the 05 for the urethane bead not sealing properly. You may want to contact your dealer, and if they balk, ask about the recall and the TSB.

I'm almost positive the windshield has a leak where it meets the body. The reason the floor is wet is because water will always find the lowest point. It's running down the A-pillar where the windshield ends, down the door frame, and onto the floor.

My old Blazer did this and it took me awhile to figure out where it was coming from, but sure enough there was a tiny gap in the urethane around the windshield in the far upper right corner.

Take your Envoy back to the dealer and they will take care of it. I doubt you'll have any problems with them.

The recall you posted is for ABS air brakes on a Crane drill rig. :D

Vince is right about the link, but thanks for the answers. I will call the dealer.

** I just called the dealer and they did not seem to have a problem with fixing it. He actually seemed as if he has heard it before. It goes in Tuesday.
Does anyone know where I can find the actuall TSB so I can read it?
