you can always lower the price on what the dealer says the sticker price

You should be able to go down a few more bucks. Also see if they will add the 5 year/100,000 warranty to it....Good Luck

No hookups. My dealer (Bob Brown in Des Moines) had seven of them on the lot. Maybe Eight as one was in the showroom that I am not sure was in the count.
At the time GM had $5,000 in discounts which brought the truck down to $33,400. The dealer across town that I just visited was supposed to call me with their final number as I left the showroom because I was not gonna wait for that sales manager BS...
Anyway, Brown knew I was waiting on the call and was not going to let me out the door. Ask me what it would take. I came back at $28,500. They wanted to meet in the middle somewhere. I said OK maybe, but I am waiting on the other dealer. So the final question was will you pay $28,500 right now and not wait on the other dealer.
End of story.

A buddy of mine picked up his new '06 SS last friday. Msrp $40,100.00 (give or take), and he drove it off the lot for 30k plus tax. They even brought the vehicle in from another dealer. I'd try new first.

I was offered a brand new '06 TBSS a month ago that had the identical MSRP. The price quoted was $29,990. Since it is a demo, GM gives the dealership back money when they put a vehicle in demo service. So they can go lower. Maybe another 1K.

8 on the lot in Iowa? What the heck was Chevy thinking? They never have more than 2 on a lot in FL and the volume down here far exceeds the midwest. No wonder you guys got all the deals!!!

7 or 8 at Bob Browns, 4 at Crescents (10 miles away) and only 1 at Karl (10 miles too). All LT's except for 2. All colors but Red.
There are at least 3 left at Browns.
Yea dealers get carried away. I bought my wife a 03 Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo. They had 10 of them ! Its a nice looking car once you got flames and Jeff Gordon decals pulled off. Loaded all options (as all the JG cars are) was around 30K and bought it for 23K.
I like it when dealers over buy.

so 27,400 + taxes/fees.. dont know how much my interest rate will be though... probably gonna do 5 years so i hope its not that bad:(
anyone know if interest rates are negotiable?

I think you could do better. I don't care if the dealer SAYS they can't go below $X, they will! There are several other people on here that got close to the same deal for a BRAND NEW one. For 4500 miles, they oughta knock off a good chunk. Besides, you know those are not easy miles, everybody and their brother was romping on it for those first 4500 miles!!! Don't be afraid to go to another dealer. When I bought mine, I haggled with the dealer for awhile until they said this was their "lowest" offer, and I said I'm going to another dealer, and they knocked off another $1500 or so.

I think thats new price and not DEMO price.
Use this forum against your dealer. Say all my buds are buying them new for that kinda of money.

Interest rates are negotiable. Best rates are usually found at a credit union, unless GM has some specials going on. A high interest rate could definitely cost you more and make the dealer more. Call your local bank and see what rate they are quoting. Then you will know if dealer hosing you or not.
Have you driven this TB SS? Sounds like someone will get to put another 200 miles on it before you get it.

yeah i wish i could say im gonna go to another dealer.. but the closest one besides this is 5 hours away with an ss..
Keep in mind that these incentives will vary by region. Southeast, North Central and Northeast currently have a $5500 rebate on the '06 TBSS (probably because these regions have more inventory). Western and South Central regions have a $4500 rebate: GM REBATES (http://www.gm.com/automotive/vehicle_shopping/currentoffers/reg_incent.html). Now if you can go GMS (employee pricing), you can add another $1K to those numbers above. This was the case up to 10-31-06 anyway. It will take a few days for them to update the new incentives lists. GM hasn't released the sales numbers from last month yet, so it's hard to say if these rebate amounts will continue, be reduced or increase.
Trailblazer sales up 8% over the same month last year (but still down 27.5% vs. 2005/2006): http://media.gm.com/servlet/GatewayServlet?target=http://image.emerald.gm.com/gmnews/viewmonthlyreleasedetail.do?domain=3&docid=30092
Looks like all those high dollar rebates are finally beginning to stimulate Trailblazer sales.
