Finally got my rims & tires from Discount tire today. They are 17x8.5 MB Motoring wheels & Hankook Dynapro iPike winter tires, 245/65 17. The whole setup cost $821 mounted balaced and shipped. There were a few AWD guy wondering if these would fit the front and they do no problems. Went around my addition a few times did some figure 8's, no rubbing and they clear the calipers just fine.

I'll get some up tomorrow.
Glue, the rims are $100 each shipped from discount tire direct, and the Ohio wharehouse is out. They had to send one from TX to complete my order.

In my neck of the woods you also have to leave room for the 100 pounds of snow and ice that packs up into each wheel well...

Here is a side shot. Its gonna take some getting used to. As for the tpms, I just get a notice on the dic to service tire pressure, not the light that has come on before with stock rims when the psi got low.

JcattSS,
Have you had any snow to try those tires out in? I was thinking the Blizzaks b/c my cars love em...but I know Discount Tire does not do Blizzaks...any idea how they compare, thanks.:)

Why are you guys spending that kind of money on winter rims? Why not wait 3 years before your stock rims look like hell and just buy another set of new stock rims? You will need new tires then anyways.

I like the wheel / tire set-up!!
my dealer sold me a set of used (less than 1000 miles) snow tires that the owner used on his SS last winter. I mounted them to my stock rims. I'll just buy a new set of stock rims in a few years as far as I'm concerned.

Only a little snow once and they were great. The blizzaks most would probably say they are better because they are blizzaks. These were way cheaper.
I wouldn't want to replace stock rims every few years, that would seem like more of a waste than the $8xx that these cost and both of sets will last for several years. I surely wouldn't run any more expensive aftermarket wheels in the snow/salt either.
To each his own.

Thanks man! Much appreciated.
I actually went to Discount Tire's site, and they have no "official" TBSS Winter Packages so I guess I would just have to call and sort it out live over the phone.

They look different on there but, not as bad as I thought. Sounds like you got a pretty decent deal too :D

I just picked out tires & rims for a reg TB 4x4, as long as they are 17's or bigger they should fit. Its hard to beat with the free mounting, balancing and shipping.
As for looks, well its just winter :) I have gotten a lot of compliments though, which is kind of funny since I got few compliments about the stock 20's.

very nice...love the new look, but only for winter. As for myself I ran the stock setup last winter with absolutely no problems. I try to keep the truck as clean as possible and get the salt and sand off the rims as soon as I can after a snow event.

Any update on how they did with deeper snow or slush??

They are great in snow/slush. I never ran the stockers in winter weather so I cant compare, but they have been awesome for me. I took it in some pretty deep snow after our "blizzard", there was probably over 1 foot on the ground and I drove through it like nothing. The only thing is how low these sit to the ground. I think the tires were about $80 each!
