found it laying by the passenger front wheel by the header collector. little black hose with part # 15118044
gm parts direct identifies it, but has no descrpition.

Are you trying to figure out what it is or where it goes? If you need to know where it goes, post a pic I can look on my truck and send a pic back.

That loos exactly like the breather tube on my C5 vette. If it is it goes across/behind (against the firewall) the intake manifold from the drivers side to the passenger side.
