OMG you guys !!
i got mine today, just installed it, and every thing every one was saying was there !! AWESOME smooth shifting " like my merc !! " i think i reached 50 MPH on 1st gear :eek::crazy: and they say its not ALL that untill may be after 200 miles or so ? MAN !!!! this is awesome :woot::woohoo:
100% go with PCMforLeSS you guys !! Kelly and Alvin ROCK's, and i am 120000 miles a way !! take my word for it :D:cool:
One question though, to you guys who installed it b4 me, it worked right a way "knock on wood" i didnt need to do that 30 min procedure !! is that normal ?? thanks :D

I think you probablygot one of the new PCM's and not a core, which is why you didn't need the 30 min security learn.

Very easy, installs in minutes. Most people have to do the security procedure which takes about 30 minutes though. There is a how to article in the articles section.

not to be so naive...
but... how do you do the security procedure?... and the hook up... just plug and play?

Dude,
its as easy as removing the 3 bolts then the bigger 4 that holds the PCM it self, the security thingy you might have to do only if it didnt work, and its also easy but kinda long " they say it takes 30min " and its detailed with pic's in the article s section/Technical ;):D

Like Abu said 7 bolts off replace PCM and 7 bolts on.
The security procedure is to try and turn on the vehicle after you installed the PCM. If it starts, you don't need to do it. If it doesn't, leave the key in the on position for 10 minutes, then turn it off for 1 minute. You repeat that 3 times for a total of approx 35 minutes and it should start on the 3rd try.
