So after all the threads about Converters, I have a Yank 3000 ordered for mine. I was a little hesitant about installing it but after Yanks response I feel more confident. What do you all think????:undecided

I feel the same way. Have a Yank 3200 in the back of truck. I am sure Vig is good too, but which is better is just speculation at this point.

Based on what I have read, I would stay away from TCI. But not gonna worry about putting in my Yank.

We've used probably over 100 yanks over the years with GREAT results and even better customer service/support! I couldnt recommend them enough!

I'm going to put my yank 3200 and im not worried about it! How useful are these trans coolers and servos? I'm not well educated in this area!

Yank and Percision industries both have great products.

I cant speak for the servo although they are cheap and I think you should at least do the Corvette servo. But I consider a cooler a MUST with a stall.

Vig is working well for me.. Customer Service is Second To None.. what other company Overnights you converters when you tell them you wanted a different stall?? they offer a free restall within the first year, 2yr warranty, etc. I believe one is better than the other, that's my belief going by what people I respect have advised me to buy.. make sure you get a mutlidisc setup.. the weight of these trucks is going to affect the TCC much more than they would an F-Body, or a C5, especially if you go 9.5" and get a Deep pan & cooler, every place I called and asked many questions said the same thing, you can't KEEP these trans's cool enough... well I am doing OK at 143f at idle on a 60f day and only hitting 171f for a moment after flogging mine with the DR's on after numerous dead stop runs.. cruising around in the low 150's.. Good Luck with whatever one you get..

I'm going with the Yank 3000. You will prbably be happy either way you'd go.

I'm gonna stand behind Yank after all they have done for me. They are the converter leader in the industry, and their customer support has been phenomenal. They've done more for me than any after market company has, and they've definitely proved that they stand behind their product. My Trailblazer is the second vehicle I've put a Yank converter into, and I'm a big fan of their products.

Probably any of them that know how much you post about converters :D

That is a testimonial there boys. Red SS knows about customer service. He was in a position that would be easy to be bitter over. So Yank has done something right !

As I said, my 3200 is gonna get installed, after I am done with tunes.

Need to call Chuck and get the Servo, pan and cooler ordered. And Tony, I am going to take your advice on the wrap and spray. BUT I am not done giving you $hit over it !

How much deeper is an aftermarket pan? I just looked at my stock one and it looks pretty deep.

Yeah.

Yank's product failed on me, I had every right to hate on Yank and try and make it look like Yank has terrible products. The amount of effort Yank put into their customer service and making sure I got my truck back up and running changed that feeling of being pissed to me being very satisfied with Yank, and I'll keep pimping their products out on the message boards and to the people I meet (PEDRO, I convinced you to get that ss3600 with my performance last spring, and I stand behind that just as strongly as you support Yank).

So Tony, what did they say your towing capacity will be with the new converter, or did you even ask? I didn't see any figures mentioned in reading through all your posts on this topic and I'm curious as to what the sacrifice will be in this area...
