I want to eliminate the soft factory ride of our '03 Envoy. I found a source parting out a Trailblazer SS and want to know if the shocks, struts, front and rear springs, and sway bars will interchange?

Anyone know? I know the TB SS has the V8 and therefore heavier in the front a bit, but I can't imagine it's too much heavier to cause issues with the inline 6 currently in our Envoy.

Any info would me MUCH appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I see everything working but the rear springs, that is endless your vehicle is equipped with air suspension.

It would all fit, but if you are going for a good suspension setup do this instead:

Hotchkis rear swaybar kit ~$180
Eibach/Belltech/DJM drop (Belltech if 4WD, DJM if 2WD all the drops are good, but these seem to be the most liked. I love my Eibach as it is only slightly lower than stock [basically as low as the SS springs would be] but still have the progressive spring rate which helps a ton) ~$350-420
Bilstein HD Shocks, front and rear ~$250

Total: ~$780-850ish

It will ride better than a stock SS as the drop springs have a better spring rate (they are progessive), the Bilstein HD shocks are the same (or really similar to the SS ones), and the Hotchkis swaybar is better than an SS one and cheaper as well. Lots of SS guys put a Hotchkis swaybar on their trucks.

Personally, I have a Hotchkis swaybar, Bilstein HD shocks, and Eibach lowering kit. I only have the front Eibach springs and Bilstein HD shocks, but it corners FLAT now (no lean at all, exactly what I wanted) and handles much better. I cant wait to see what happens when I get the rear shocks (on backorder) and springs installed...

I have the SS front springs on my '05 Envoy. Some guys that are upgrading to the adjustable front coils are selling their takeoffs (springs and struts) for about $100 + shipping. Great ride and handling. I also have the Hotchkis rear sway bar. Another good mod.

Thanks for the good info guys!

I'm not real familiar with the TB SS rear suspension so if you could elaborate a bit more about the air suspension and how the springs are different. Are all TB SS's equipped with the air rear suspension? Is it bags in the coils, or?

I also wanted to ensure that the front sway bar and mounts aren't different due to the TB SS's V8 placement.

I'm not looking to create a canyon-carver outta the Envoy, just wanna firm it up a bit and tighten the body roll some. It's annoying as hell right now and I'm weighing the expense of replacing stock shocks/struts, or getting the used TB SS stuff for a bit of an improvement.

The guy wants $500 plus shipping for rear shocks, front/rear springs, struts, and sway bars. The SS only has 5100 miles or so on it.

Buying aftermarket stuff like Eibach and whatnot is gonna cost more and the wife really isn't into "modding" her Envoy, but would appreciate the firmer, tighter ride. So I'm figuring that stock parts would end up being around $300-$400, couldn't go wrong with some slightly used TB SS parts.

The TB SS uses bags instead of coils. It is the same type rear suspension that comes optional/standard on some Envoy, Saab 9-7x, Rainiers. Not at all an easy changeout, if possible at all. Not sure the TB SS front stabilizer will fit the Envoy, need some confirmation on this.
