I just replaced the Actuator on my 02 TB because the 4WD was not engaging and it still is not engaging.

If I let the actuator do its job, it just makes a clicking noise as I rotate the tires or drive shaft as if the actuator is not extending far enough to engage the 4wd.

If I press what the actuator is pressing with a screwdriver I can get the 4wd to engage, however it requires a fair amount of effort to press it in.

Any ideas?

Has there been any half-shaft work done on that side? Another thing could be wear in that inner bearing housing causing too much clearance. Too much slop means the slip collar cant slide over enough to spline the front right half-shaft to the rt side diff output.

NO half-shaft work done that I know of.

Last winter It was slipping/slamming/jerking in and out of 4WD up in/at the diff. At that time it felt like the actuator was actuating and unactuating, sounds like that was probably not the case. That slipping/slamming/jerking probably caused some kind of wear. Not sure what.

It sounds Like I may need to replace the half-shaft on the front right???
