I was wondering if anyone here swaped out their seats for something else. i have a 2005 Trailblazer LS with cloth grey seats. I love the truck, smooth ride, and all but these seats kill my back in long drives. my 1986 cougar was more comforatable after 17 years. these factory seats are just too flat. i have been looking at other GM seats that have built in seat belts. i want to stick to grey cloth. but i was just wondering if anyone else did some sort of swap. how are GMC Envoy seats? are they any diferent from the Trailblazer? idealy would be SS seats but i want to stick to grey to match the rest of the interior

I've not sat in a TB LS, so not much help here. Best thing to do would to go truck shopping and sit in some Envoys, Rainiers, TB's, etc and see if the seats feel better than what you have. Since GM changed the seats in 2005 models, you'll be better off to get '05 or newer seats if you do the swap.

I read in a road test on both TB and Envoy that the GMC seats are more comfortable design. I'm sure an Envoy owner could confirm. It stated the GMC seats were more of a "wrap around" design.

I swapped out the cloth seats in my LS TB with Leather ones out of an Envoy, I am not sure what year the Envoy was though. They are more comfortable. It wasn't really that hard, they just bolt in place, if you get power you will have to to a little wireing but thats not even that bad.
