Hello all, I currently have a 2004 trailblazer that has 1200 miles on it. On occasion, I hear a high pitch whine. I hear it during low to moderate acceleration/deceleration, but not sure during higer rpms as the noise is faint. In addition, I occassionaly have a rattling noise like a rotating discs that occurs intermittently. Anyone have a suggestion? All in all, really pleased with vehicle. Thanks

Jeff

The only suggestion i have is to take it back to the dealer and have them take a listen to see if they can hear what your talking about. Ice

i use to have that wine when i installed my intake. Make sure all the vaccum lines that connect to your intake are secure. That fixed the problem for me.

I had a whine on my 02 TB LTZ at 3500 miles. They had to replace the whole rearend housing because it was machined wrong.

I had a rattling noise around 2500 to 3000 rpm. Sounded like a loose heat shield but a TSB directed the dealer to the hood latch. Adjusting the latch got ride of the noise.

I haven't done anything since I wrote this post. I haven't heard it for a while now. My thinking it was because it was during the summer and it being hot during the summer and the added engine heat, that the hood rod/latch was expanding just enough to contact the fan shroud. Noticed there was contact/rubbing on the shroud. Just my thoughts. I have about 6,000 miles on the TB. Still running strong. Still amazes me about the ride qualities of this SUV.
