Has anyone gotten any answers as to which Air Lift kit to use with the DJM 2/4 drop? I've emailed them and no answers, I've called them and no one seems to be able to help me. One guy told me to measure the spring under normal load. I can't figure out where to measure because the spring wraps around. It's hard to find a starting point and ending point. Same thing with the inside diameter.

A before and after measurement at the rear wheel well opening would tell you the difference, then Air Lift could probably come up with the right air bag and spacer combination based on the original ride height vs. your lowered height. When I contacted Air Lift I gave them the amount of drop I measured and they came up with the right kit for my application.
My before and after pics... before, stock, the wheel well was about 34 3/8", after installing the Ground Force rear lowering springs, measured exactly 33" making it perfectly level with the front.

So, all you used was the Ground Force rear lowering springs? how much did you pay?

Yep, one of the better investments I made... about $110. GF rates the drop at 2" but actually lowered it a little less than 1.5" which worked out perfect - made it equal front and back within 1/8". A local friend bought the same springs for his TB and his drop was the same as mine. GF #1085 rear spring kit. That, plus the Hotchkis rear sway bar and front bushing kit made a world of difference in the cornering and overall stability going down the road.

Well after talking to Air Lift today and realizing that the new coil springs are wider and shorter than the stock coil springs, I got a close measurement for them. The bag that they recommend for the new drop are the same bags used in the 1988 Monte Carlo SS(kit# 60744). You talk about lowering your TB...:rotfl:
Anyway ordered the kit and the load controller II today from Summit Racing. I'll keep you guys posted on the results.

By installing this rear spring kit, do you also have to change the shocks?

The kit that I got is a 2" front and a 4" rear drop with different shocks. The stock shocks won't work.

I know that some of the drop kits use the stock shocks, but clone1008 has an EXT, not a SWB TB. I know that the Eibach fit uses the stock shocks.

Just an update on the Airlift Kit. I received the Air Spring Kit and also the Load Controller II Kit and had both installed. All I can say is "WOW" what a difference these things make when pulling my 23' Deck Boat. I was really afraid when I lowered the TB that I had lost my tow vehicle. The boat and trailer fully loaded weighs 5800 LBS. I had noticed after the DJM Drop and before installing the Airlift Kit even with a couple of adults in the back seat it would sometimes "bottom out" on a rough road. So I knew that my boat would do the same. Not now, I just pump it up to 35 psi. hook-up the boat and go! I had a real problem with the trailer "fish tailing" even with the stock setup but that has all been eliminated with the Airlift package. I would strongly recommend this kit for anyone using their Trailblazers or Envoys to tow with!:yes::yes::yes:

Your install!! I want to see some pics on your install. Thats great the kit helped you so much, but I had one question: Do you mean 25PSI? I though I read somewhere that 25PSI is the max the air lift 1000 bags can handle. Am I missing something or misinformed?

I will try and get some pics this weekend. As far as the PSI, different kits have different PSI's. The kit for the stock TB/Envoy is 25 PSI. The kit that I used is for a 1988 Chevy Monte Carlo SS and it has a Minimum 5 PSI and Maximum 35 PSI.

Oh, okay, thanks for the clarification.

I noticed it's been almost three years since the post was last updated, but I just installed my DJM drop and am looking into the AirLift system. Has anyone else had any experience with AirLift, and what system. Clone, how has the kit you installed worked out?
