lately my 03 envoy has been stalling. It'll do it for like a week and then not and sometimes my cel light will come on but go off too quick for me to get it scanned. 57kmiles on it if that helps also....i ran a thing of fuel system cleaner through it just bc i'm busy and dont have time to get until a car anymore.....any thoughts on this?

Have you checked the fuel filter? That would be to easy i know but worth a try.Good luck.

Throttle body is probably dirty, cleaning is simple and there is an article on how to do it.

Next step would be the fuel filter and maybe a bottle of Techron (probably the best fuel system cleaner out there).

Mine did the same, and like Scarab said, i cleaned my TB and it was gone  simple but takes some time " to remove every thing and to bolt it back that is " :)

Dealer had to replace my Throttle Position Sensor on my 04 Envoy... Could be that too - pretty dangerous if that goes out!!

.. sometimes my cel light will come on but go off too quick for me to get it scanned.

I'd scan for pending codes. I'm pretty sure something that pops in/out will show up on a more advanced scanner. Is there any other performance or economy concerns along with the stalling? Like the other fellas say, a TB cleaning has been known to help. I've also heard of a PCM reflash helping a stalling concern. I'd pull a battery lead for 30min to 'reboot' the PCM as well, if you dont want to scan for codes right away.

My '02 TB did the same thing a few times at stops. It had ~30K on it. It was my ignition switch, had it replaced and fixed it. Hasn't done it since.

it hasn't done it lately (for about a week) so i'm going to go ahead and clean the throttle body out, change the fuel filter bc i'm sure it needs it.....i'll post how it turns out....next is the infamous sway bar end links....damn things
