Any insight into replacement CV axles

Does anyone have any insight into what makes (other than GM) are good replacement half-shaft front CV axles?

I looked through the net and saw three brands:

CV Unlimited - Remanufactured GM parts
Cardone Select - New parts
EMPI - New parts

Any one of these to stay away from ... good experiences ... etc.

I read reviews that said Cardone were great. They use a MUCH more flexible boot material than the stiff GM OEM material that can split or come loose and fling grease. That's especially important for folks like us who run with constantly flexing CV boots.
