I have a 2004 trailblazer v6 with 40k, I just noticed that the tachometer is not working. The car does seem to hesitate at times happens about 2 to 3 times per day. I'm thinking its a sensor of some sort, checked it with my obd tester and I am not getting any codes. Wondering if anyone has any idea as to what this could be. Thanks alot.

I noticed mine was off a little a few days back. Running around 600 with cruise set at 62. At a stop sign it registered 0. When I returned from the short trip, it was OK again, with normal readings. I am curious as well, what may have caused it. No error codes for me either.

Tach issues are fairly common on the GMT360. GM uses a funky motorized tach on these trucks. Typically the whole instument panel cluster (IPC) is replaced with a reman'd IPC to fix it. Probably $300+ at a dealer.
