Ok, I had filled up the tank to Full and rested the odometer just so I could find out how far I could go with a full tank. 2 days later my tank was empty. I had clocked 140miles to the tank and I feel this is VERRRRY low?!?! tis normal or not??
Well, you didn't mention now big of a tank you have but even with the smaller 18.5 gallon tank, that's only around 7.8 mpg.....I'm giving you the credit for not actually running it dry. In any event, unless you spent an awful lot of time idling or in nightmare stop & go traffic (stomping on it between lights) there's something wrong.
Is the check engine light lit? - Wasting that much fuel should result in an error of some sort....even if the tank/filler neck cracked you'd get an evap error code.
Only thing that might not is if the fuel line between the tank and engine had a leak....like at the fuel filter! I'd check to see if the fuel filter connectors are tight and/or are leaking when the truck is idling, which could be a very dangerous situation if it is. - My buddy had his line come off while driving on the highway and dumped 1/2 the tank within a couple of minutes.

well there was alot of stop go traffic in the duration, also alto of idling, waiting for my girlfriend (as usual) but other then that, my foot was not a lead weight like it normally is....the engine ligh did come on, but i am due for a service in in the next 3000kms so i didnt think any thing of it...
i hope its not a big problem, ill take the car to the garage tmrw and let them see what they can figure out, thanks for the info :)
Unless you are idling for hours, there is a problem even with a small tank. You are only averaging less than 9 MPG with the smallest tank. I'm giving you the benefit that you had around 2 gallons left at fill up.
I never seen my drop below 13 and that was after idling in Philly for a long time after a Phillies game.

I agree, check your fuel filter and filler neck for issues. If those are okay, I think someone probably took some of your gas. It is growing in popularity in the states, so I am going to get a locking gas cap here really soon. Sorry I cant really help, but I do hope tomorrow the garage figures out what is wrong.

looool damnnn, gas isnt too expensive round my end, hmm around 20 cents a litre :p My fuel filter hasnt been changed since i bought the car so that might be the problem... theres nothing wrong with the filler neck i dnt think, ive had the car on jacks numerous amouns of time recently to install a new muffler and nothing was leaking, only some radiator condensation.... cheers guys :)

The worst I have got was 9.6 mpg driving 85 towing a 7800lb trailer 330 miles. I normally average about 14mpg city/hwy mixed driving. I have never seen better than 16 mpg though.
Man, towing that much weight you musta been spinning some good rpms! Since you were probably pretty close, if not over your towing capacity, did your TB drive any differently?
On another note, especially with the I6, EXTs wont see as good of mileage as the SWB. Just my .02

You didn't happen to notice that the level dropped all of a sudden between times you were driving it did you? You might have a fuel theaf that has been sucking fuel out of the truck. My understanding is that it's pretty hard to do nowdays but you never know. BTW is that 20 cent/liter KWD or US (I would imagine that it's KWD but you might have done the conversion)? At 20 cents KWD/Liter that would be about $2.50US/Gallon. Not much less than what I would be paying if I was back in the states.

I just paid $139US for a 200L ration book. That's right boys and girls, my gas is rationed. Thats about $2.60US a gallon. That is a little lower than what they are paying back home if you hunt for fuel. Books are now running $144/200L or $2.73/gal. They set the prices for the month and you can find the prices for the next month a couple days before the switch. That is usually when I by my books. Now that is the american prices. The Germans however don't have it that nicehttp://image60.webshots.com/60/1/2/99/467410299klBdLQ_ph.jpg
Prices are Eruo/Liter
The sign is Regular, Plus, Super, Diesel and Natural Gas.
That works out to about 100euro to fill up your Trailvoy if it's empty. You do the conversion, I know how much that is.
