Has anyone ever used Nippon Denso Iridium plugs? I have some here but not sure if they will work better than AC Delco plugs, There expensive plugs but not sure if to ebay them or use'em.

doubt there is too much difference, ac delco is iridium. seems to work good for me. maybe someone else can chime in if they noticed any difference using denso.

As long as they are a match for the factory spec they should be fine. Iridium is the plug for the trailvoy.

i've been using the autolite xps in my vehicles for a while now, little cheaper. cars that come with finewire plugs will not care what brand you use. however, older vehicles that have just been running platinum's etc. will notice a MAJOR difference. for example, a set of fine wire plugs and fresh set of factory wires alone were good for 2-3 mpg improvement on my father in laws 00 sierra van.

Well at least you don't have to worry about wires on these things.
By all the peoples' reports on the forum they do seem to like the factory iridiums though.

I'm still old skule, which probbly has very little relavance to mondern irridum plugs, but back inthe "old days" GM cars prefered Delco plugs and Ford's liked Autolites, and mopars ran like crap no matter what you put in em so it didn't matter.

I know people on here have used the Bosch plugs and have had problems with them. The AC-Delco ones are easy to get and don't cost that much so I would go with them.

IMHO, I have not ever had good experience w/ iridium plugs in any GM motor. I tried a set in my 94 s blazer (4.3), Mrs. tb05's Olds, the Azteks, or the old beater Cavalier. I have no explanation as to why, but now I just use OEM plugs. I figure the motor was designed to use the plugs it came with, and unless I'm gonna seriously mod it, why waste good money? :D

They are the factory plugs for our trucks. When you order plugs, that's what they give you. Well that's what they gave me and said, "these are them" :undecided

FWIW I replaced the plugs in my 02 'Voy a few months ago (93,000 miles) and I got a real good price on the Ac-Delco Platinums because the Iridiums replaced them :D So I figured my 2002 Envoy came with the platinums, and as much as I'd like to have the iridiums - I was fine with replacing the factory plat's with new plats. Now the next 100k mile spark plug change will be a different story (unless the plats are still on clearance) lol
So for those of us who came with the plat's from the factory (2002, 2003, 2004?, etc?), its really up to you. I figured the factory plats lasted 93,000 miles with no problems whatsoever (just changed them because of the 100k mile service interval stigma applied to them) that replacing them with the same plats is fine.

Let me clarify, I did not list the TB, just previous vehicles, and FWIW, my 05 4.2 has OEM Platinum plugs, not iridium.

Ah yes ..that's cool. :)
I just wanted to let you know that Chevy or AC Delco :undecided has changed the part number to an Iridium plug and are discontinuing the old plug. Any new AC Delco you "order" for your vehicle over the counter will be Iridium as the old ones are phased out.

The good thing about this is you can get the plats for cheap :D like I did (because some places are clearancing them out)
